Paul, a Clackmannanshire resident of 22 years, recently embraced early retirement in September 2022.  With a professional background in senior retail management, Paul brings extensive experience in areas such as project management, strategy development, and cultural change. Having personally cared for his mother-in-law with dementia for a decade, Paul possesses invaluable first-hand knowledge of the challenges faced by both caregivers and those living with dementia. This experience has profoundly shaped his perspective and fuels his commitment to the cause. With his unwavering dedication, he aims to enhance the lives of individuals affected by dementia, making a significant difference within the organisation.

David, a highly accomplished chartered accountant, has recently entered a semi-retirement phase after accumulating a wealth of professional experience in both the private sector and the NHS Scotland. With an impressive track record of 21 years within the healthcare system, he has gained invaluable expertise in health economics, thanks to his dedicated service on the Scottish Medicines Consortium. David's extensive knowledge in this field equips him with a deep understanding of the intricate dynamics at play within healthcare systems. Furthermore, his specialised proficiency in charity accounting and governance makes him an invaluable asset as a trustee for Town Break. David's multifaceted background and exceptional skill set position him as a pivotal contributor, ready to make significant contributions to the organisation's mission and success.

Margaret became a Trustee at Town Break in October 2021, leveraging her diverse experience in education and training. She has held pivotal roles such as Development Manager, Operations Director, and Consultant Trainer/Mentor. Margaret is not only a familiar face within Town Break but also has personal experience as a full-time caregiver for her husband, who lived with Alzheimer's. This first-hand understanding fuels her passion for supporting caregivers and appreciating the vital role Town Break's services play. Juli became a Trustee at Town Break in 2019, bringing with her a background in supporting individuals with Additional Support Needs while working for Stirling Council. Additionally, she has firsthand experience as a caregiver for a family member with dementia. Juli has personally benefited greatly from the services provided by Town Break in recent years, which has deepened her appreciation for the organisation's impact. Her genuine enthusiasm to contribute to Town Break's ongoing success is palpable, as she eagerly looks forward to making a meaningful difference within the organisation.

Graeme, a resident of Stirling for fifteen years, possesses a rich professional background in the Civil Service and Public sector. Currently, he holds the position of Scotland Manager at a Suicide Prevention charity in the third sector. Graeme's passion for voluntary work, criminal and restorative justice, as well as community development and transformation, is evident. In pursuit of his interests, he is currently engaged in PhD research at the University of Ulster, further deepening his knowledge and expertise. With his diverse skill set and dedication to making a positive impact,

Alasdair, a resident of the Stirling area for nearly 40 years, brings a wealth of experience from his work in the public and third sectors. He has held various roles, including water treatment, waste disposal, running a bicycle reuse project (Recyke-a-bike), and leading a team supporting charities. Retired before becoming a Councillor on Stirling Council in 2017, Alasdair serves as the Fairtrade councillor, promoting ethical commerce. His diverse expertise and commitment to public service make him a valuable Trustee for Town Break.

Leigh became a Board member in May 2018, bringing with her valuable expertise in volunteer management and service delivery. Over the course of nine years, she has held various roles within local government and the public sectors, focusing on engaging and supporting volunteers. Leigh's experience in these domains equips her with the knowledge and skills necessary to contribute effectively to the work of the Board. Her commitment to community service and service delivery makes her a valuable asset to Town Break.

Lilias, a native of Stirling, has been a dedicated Trustee since May 2023, bringing with her an extensive 30-year career as an HR professional. Throughout her professional journey, she has predominantly worked in the private sector, gaining valuable experience in consultancy services. Later, she shifted her focus to the third sector, further enriching her expertise.

As an HR generalist, Lilias has actively engaged in all aspects of the employment cycle. However, her true passion lies in employee relations. With a practical and common-sense approach to business, she believes she can make a valuable contribution to the Board's endeavours. Lilias is enthusiastic about leveraging her existing skills to create a positive impact on Town Break. She looks forward to utilising her experience to support Town Break's mission and goals.
