Forum Rules.

We're all about creating a safe and supportive space where everyone feels valued and heard.

Our community is dedicated to inspiring and enabling individuals to live well with dementia. Think of it as your go-to place for sharing experiences, getting advice, and connecting with others who understand.

Here are our house rules for the Town Break Dementia Support forum:

1️⃣ Respect Each Other: Let's keep things friendly and respectful. Treat each other with kindness and consideration. No personal attacks or disrespectful behaviour, please.

2️⃣ Stay Relevant: Keep the conversation focused on supporting individuals affected by dementia and their care partners. We're here to share tips, offer support, and engage in meaningful discussions.

3️⃣ No Spamming: Please avoid posting unsolicited advertisements, promotions, or irrelevant content. Let's keep the community space clutter-free and focused on supporting one another.

4️⃣ Be Supportive and Inclusive: Embrace diversity within our community. Support every member, regardless of their background or identity. Let's create an inclusive environment where everyone feels welcome and valued.

5️⃣ Respect Privacy: Protect the privacy of others by obtaining consent before sharing personal information. Let's keep personal details like telephone numbers and email addresses private unless permission is given.

6️⃣ Maintain Courtesy: Keep discussions respectful, even when opinions differ. We're all here to learn from each other, so let's express ourselves calmly and constructively.

7️⃣ Use Appropriate Language: Let's keep the language positive and inclusive. Avoid excessive cursing or offensive language that could be hurtful to others.

8️⃣ Avoid Promotional Content: While sharing experiences and recommendations is encouraged, please refrain from direct promotion of products or services. Let's keep the focus on supporting one another rather than promoting commercial interests.

9️⃣ No Medical Advice: Share your experiences, but remember to respect individual choices regarding healthcare. Let's provide information and sources, but leave medical decisions to the individuals and their healthcare professionals.

1️⃣0️⃣ Report Inappropriate Content: If you come across any content that violates these guidelines, please report it using the designated function. We're all responsible for maintaining a safe and supportive community environment.

1️⃣1️⃣ Scamming/ Spoofing: Please refrain from sharing any financial information, including personal bank details. Let's keep this platform free from any misuse of information. Town Break Dementia Support does not endorse using this platform for selling products.

Persistent violation of these guidelines may result in removal from the community. We want to ensure that everyone feels safe and respected here, so let's work together to create a positive community experience for all Town Break Dementia Support members.

If you have any questions or concerns about these guidelines, feel free to reach out.
